This week Larry Richmond from Richmond Construction visited our virtual class.  Mr. Richmond shared his story about what he did after high school and how he came to run his own home building business.  Mr. Richmond has a crew of anywhere from eight to fifteen employees that build homes from the ground up.  He let us know that the work is hard but the money is great, and he told us that there will always be work in construction because the world needs homes and robots can't go out to a build site to build them for us.  I think the most fascinating things that Mr. Richmond shared was all of the building codes he has to follow when building a home.  I had no idea there where so many detailed rules!
